Our History
Pickle Idéal was born from a collaboration with our farmers friends in Charlevoix who found themselves with a surplus of vegetables at the end of their harvest. Wanting to give them a hand, we decided to take these vegetables and thus, the Pickle Idéal project was born. This original idea aligns perfectly with the future of local food by promoting optimal uses of food resources.
By transforming these vegetables into delicious pickles and marinated products, we can extend their shelf life while adding value to them. This helps reduce food waste by using surplus vegetables and giving them a new life. Additionally, by promoting local products, we support farmers in the region and strengthen the local economy.
Pickle Idéal is proud to promote sustainable eating by using seasonal vegetables for our products. This allows us to capture the unique flavors of each time of year and offer a variety of products to consumers throughout the year. By encouraging consumers to support local products, we raise awareness about the importance of responsible food production and strengthen the relationship between consumers and farmers in our community.
We are enthusiastic about the future of Pickle Idéal and are committed to continuing to develop our business within the framework of a sustainable local food vision. We firmly believe in the circular economy and the value of harvest surpluses to create tasty and high-quality products. We want to thank our friends from Charlevoix local farms for being the origin of this wonderful adventure. Together, we are working to build a more responsible and environmentally friendly future of food.
